  Campaign for A414/M11 Link Road

I am campaigning for a link road to be built between the A414 and the M11. Congestion is getting worse and I believe that a bypass is the only solution to reduce the number of cars driving through Harlow.

I need your support to show the Government that Harlow residents really want this to happen.

What can you do?

With all the extra homes being built in Harlow, this road is an absolute MUST. Well done Bill Rammell for taking up the cause.

Some form of relief for traffic is definitely overdue and the current situation demonstrates a major oversight by developers and the council. Residents should not be expected to endure hours of
waiting time because of congestion along the A414.

I definitely agree with the need for a link road. In addition to reduced traffic burden through Harlow, it would ease the chaos caused every time there is an accident on the M11 (which is frequent)
and the traffic then comes off at junction 8, goes through the villages towards Hatfield Heath and then backs up all the way through Sheering, Old Harlow and all the main town roads. The addition of
bus routes to simply ease congestion is NOT the answer, a bypass is the only way to ease the painful, slow procession of commuters and commercial traffic through out neighbourhoods. Wherever the
bottleneck occurs, coming through Harlow, either northbound or southbound appears to be the only available option to stricken motorists when issues arise on the main networks outside of Harlow. What
use is a bus lane when the bus is stuck in the same traffic?

I totally agree with your campaign for a link road between the M11 and the A414 For decades succeeding governments have wasted money trying to bodge up the road structure after breaking the promise
to Sir frederick Gibbered where he was told the major road would pass to the North of Harlow, not the South East. Completely destroying his plan for Harlow, leaving it as a disjointed mess.
