Internship placements in the offices of MPs are highly prized and availability is limited. The internship placement provides each participant with first-hand experience of the work of the MP and
his office. You will make a genuine contribution to Bill Rammell’s work on behalf of the people of Harlow.
The placement will be based in either the Westminster or the constituency office in Harlow and, diary permitting, you will spend some time shadowing Bill Rammell, providing a more diverse and
challenging experience. However, the availability of placements is dependent upon the work load of the office and the nature of the MP’s diary on any given day. You will be advised of this by the
office in advance.
Some of the work will necessarily be routine and administrative in nature but wherever possible more challenging tasks will be provided subject to the commitment and skills you demonstrate during
your placement.
We welcome all applications from young people who have an interest in politics and public service. Although preference is given to Harlow and Essex residents, students from all backgrounds are
welcome to apply.
